Publish and share a template

We recommend using Dashboards instead of Templates. Dashboards are the preferred method of creating, sharing, and embedding content from a Quiver analysis. Though existing templates continue to be supported and editable, the creation of new templates will be deprecated.

Publishing

When a template is published, it is saved as a separate file in Foundry. To save a new template, you must first publish it by clicking the green Publish button in the header of the canvas. To save a new version of your template, click the blue Republish button in the analysis in which it was created. This will also save a new version of the analysis.

Publishing a template

You can access previous versions of your template by opening the analysis history menu (Analysis history icon) at the top of your screen and clicking the Templates tab. From there, a dropdown will allow you to select one the templates built from this analysis. You will then be able to see previous versions as well as the analysis version from which they were published.

Sharing

You can share published templates by selecting the resource in its Project folder and clicking the Share icon (Share icon) in the menu header. You will then be able to use link sharing or give users or groups specific roles.
