Embed in an Object View

We recommend using Dashboards instead of Templates. Dashboards are the preferred method of creating, sharing, and embedding content from a Quiver analysis. Though existing templates continue to be supported and editable, the creation of new templates will be deprecated.

Once you have created and published a template, you can embed it in an Object View in Object Explorer.

Note that you need to have permissions to configure Object Views.

Adding a Quiver Template widget

In the Object View, select More > Advanced > Edit Object View. Once in Edit mode, navigate to the tab of your choice, and click +Add widget.

Add widget

Select the Quiver Object Canvas widget. In the configuration panel, choose Please select a template to select the saved template in the file system.

Select template

When adding a Quiver template to an Object View, the current object is passed as the input object to the template, which means that the user will see the canvas view filtered on the current object.

Passing parameters from the Object View to the Quiver Template widget

In addition, you can configure filters to be passed from the Object View to the Quiver template as parameters.

Choose Add Item under Filter Parameters section, and select the object type and property to be filtered by the parameter. You then need to set the Filter Parameter ID to match the External Parameter ID in the Quiver Template.

Filter parameters

In Quiver, enter an External Parameter ID in the parameter to match.
