📖 Task Introduction

Say we want to learn more about the passengers_preprocessed dataset—the code that generated it, its transaction history, and other metadata attributes. One of the purposes of Foundry is to enable non-technical users to easily access, explore, analyze, and operationalize data. In this task, we'll see how Data Lineage supports this goal.

🔨 Task Instructions

  1. Click the History tab located near Preview at the bottom of your screen. Here, we can see the transformation transaction history of the selected dataset node. In our case, we can see when the latest snapshot of this dataset was uploaded.
  2. Click the Code tab (located next to the History tab) to view the source code for the selected table. Here, we see the code used to transform the input dataset(s) into the currently selected one.
