30 - Additive Backing Dataset Changes: Part 2

This content is also available at learn.palantir.com ↗ and is presented here for accessibility purposes.

📖 Task Introduction

Additive changes to the backing dataset do not interfere with the Phonograph synchronization process. You'll need to manually map these new columns to object properties in OMA if you want them to show up. In this task, we'll map the column and update the title key to use it.

🔨 Task Instructions

  1. Open your passengers object type in OMA.
  2. Click the Properties item from the left-hand menu.
  3. At the bottom of the properties table, click ⊕ Add a property.
  4. Click the -> in the left-hand mapping box next to full_name to "Add as new property." You should now be able to find it mapped as a property in the right-hand box.
  5. Select the full_name property in the right-hand mapping box and in the configuration panel to the right, tick the Title Key box as shown in the image below.
  6. Save your Ontology.

Optionally, you can view your updated object type (with new title key) in the Object Explorer once the reindex associated with your latest Ontology change has completed.
