As you’ve just seen, you can chart the properties of the object set in your exploration. You can also visualize properties from objects linked to those in your exploration. Let’s add a statistic card showing the average arrival delay of the Frontier Airlines aircraft in our exploration.
🔨 Task Instructions
Click ⊕ Add chart in the space next to your new date distribution board.
Scroll down on the left side of the window and click [Example Data] Flight Delay Event.
This is an object type linked to [Example Data] Aircraft in the ontology, and so we can access its properties from related object types. Choose Arr Delay from the list of properties on the right.
Object Explorer provides a distribution chart by default because Arr Delay is a numeric value. String values appear by default in a histogram. Remember, however, that the chart configurations can be altered.
Click the “gear” (⚙️) icon in the top right corner of the Arr Delay chart.
Change the chart type in the Select a chart type area of the configuration window to Stats table.
Your table now displays aggregations on the arrival delays associated with the aircraft in your exploration.
