📖 Task Introduction

You’ll follow similar steps to enable your “Update Priority” action priority.

🔨 Task Instructions

  1. Locate and select the Update Priority item in your Button group: Actions widget configuration panel. Change the On Click behavior from Event to Action.
  2. In the Select an action . . . dropdown, find and select your precise Update Flight Alert Priority action (e.g., [jmeier] Update Flight Alert Priority).
  3. In the Parameter Defaults section below, choose the [o][1] Active Flight Alert variable in the [yourName] Flight Alert field. This is the object the Action will be taken on.
  4. Just below your entry, click the Disabled option. This will prevent users from accidentally changing the target object in the Action form.
  5. In the Display Options section, choose the option to Disable the button if invalid (i.e., the validations do not obtain).
  6. It’s time to test your Action button. Recall, however, that your validation rules for assigning an alert prevent assignment where the risk score exceeds 25. Use the Risk Score filter in your filter list widget to narrow in on only alerts with a risk score < 25.
  7. Select a row in the table and then click on your Update Priority Alert button in the Actions dropdown menu. Confirm it appears as expected (i.e., similar to the image in the previous task).

You’ve had the chance now to construct and use a couple of Actions in your Workshop module, but review using Actions in Workshop, which summarizes and further explores Action configurations and Workshop implementation.
