📖 Task Introduction

You’ve traversed the relevant Ontology links and brought the needed objects into your analysis where you can now perform a simple aggregation on them. Remember that the goal of this activity was to create a set of property cards that compare the delay on this flight alert with the average delay for all flights on the route.

🔨 Task Instructions

  1. At the bottom of the Route Delays card select Values from the category buttons. If not visible, click the magnifier icon on the left to search for it.

  2. Choose Numeric Aggregation.

  3. In the card configuration panel on the right, choose Average as as the Metric and Dep Delay as the Property.

  4. Click into the name of the card at the very top of the editor (e.g., Numeric Aggregation of [Example Data] Delays and rename it to Avg Route Delay).

  5. In the editor’s display tab, make the following adjustments:

    • Description: Avg Route Departure Delay
    • Inline Header: “On”
    • Metric Alignment: Align Center
    • Description Alignment: Align Center
  6. Click the “gear” icon to the right of the Format field header and choose Visual format. This will bring up the formatting editor you’ve encountered in OMA and while configuring Object Views.

  7. Change the Standard type to Standard Unit and in the sub-field that appears, choose Minute.

  8. Click into the ➕ Maximum fraction digits block and enter a value of 2.

  9. Save your analysis.
