9 - Exercise Summary

This content is also available at learn.palantir.com ↗ and is presented here for accessibility purposes.

Tabs enable you to thematically group widgets to keep your object hubs well organized and clearly demarcated for end users. A goal of this exercise was to give you an opportunity to explore tab creation and options.

The exercise also brought in a new widget type: a Linked Objects View. As with Property Cards, the purpose was to increase your widget exposure without introducing too much complexity. This is another widget representative of configuration dynamics in the Object View environment.

What you built

  • A new Route Statistics tab.
  • A Linked Objects View widget.
  • A conditional visibility rule for your new tab.

What you learned

  • Object view Tabs are the most straightforward way of navigating and grouping object content.
  • You can combine or separate the Save and Publish functions as well as view and republish old versions.
  • You can control tab visibility using group profile attributes or property value conditions.

Access this tab configuration basics documentation to round out your knowledge before moving forward.
