📖 Task Introduction

You can use the histogram to filter object sets after they've already been brought into the Map. In this task, you will remove all airports that serve fewer than 100 destinations.

Before proceeding with this task, read this introduction to the map histogram.

🔨 Task Instructions

  1. Select the Histogram panel in the upper left of your screen.
  2. Expand the values for the Number of Destinations.
  3. Sort the property values by clicking the Value header for the property.
  4. Select all values (i.e., ctrl + click) less than 100. Hint: you may need to click the Show more prompt at the bottom of the value list.
  5. Click the blue Filter out option at the bottom of the histogram panel. The objects are removed and the top of your map now tracks any and all applied filters.

What if I want to remove these objects from my set rather than merely filtering them from view?

  1. Remove the applied filter by selecting Clear filters in the upper right area of the screen.
  2. In the histogram, re-select the airports with fewer than 100 destinations.
  3. Choose the ⓧ Delete option in the top toolbar. The objects have now been removed from the object set.
