2 - Create a New Foundry Map

Open your Foundry enrollment in a separate tab or window.

📖 Task Introduction

In this task, you'll create a savable, shareable, exportable Foundry Map in your Tutorial Practice Artifacts folder.

🔨 Task Instructions

1. Open your personal /Temporary Training Artifacts/ folder (or other designated save location).

   If you have not created one before, follow the steps from the Create a Sandbox Folder page in the Introduction to Palantir Foundry tutorial to create it now.

2. Click the green ➕ New ▾ button in the upper right and choose Map from the application list.

3. Rename your map by clicking the blue Save as...▾ in the upper right. Give your map a distinguishing name and be sure to save it in your Tutorial Practice Artifacts folder (or other designated save location).
