This content is also available at learn.palantir.com ↗ and is presented here for accessibility purposes.

📖 Task Introduction

The Filter option available among the buttons at the bottom of any Object Set board in your Quiver analysis provides a way to create additional derived Object Sets by filtering on the properties of the Objects in an Object Set or its linked Objects. In this Task, you'll create a filtered Object Set of flights arriving to or departing from SFO that were cancelled due to weather.

🔨 Task Instructions

  1. At the bottom of your Combined Flights board, click on the Filter category and choose Filter object set.
  2. In the new filter board, click on Add a filter to limit your resulting object set.
  3. In the filter subwindow, scroll to and select ...where destination state name is to add a filter based on the destination state of each flight. This will add a Destination State Name is filter to your Filter board.
  4. Click into the Search... field to the right of Destination State Name and select Washington from the dropdown menu. Notice that your filtered dataset contains much fewer flights than the Combined Flights object set that you used as the input to the filter board.
  5. To see the details of your new filtered object set, click on the Show data toggle near the top-left corner of the widget to view the filtered rows. Click the same toggle, now reading Hide data, to switch back.
