Open your Foundry enrollment in a separate tab or window.

📖 Task Introduction

Then, let's open Quiver and set up a new analysis.

🔨 Task Instructions

  1. Open your personal sandbox folder in the /Temporary Training Artifacts/ project (if you haven't created one before, follow the steps from the Create a Sandbox Folder page in the Introduction to Palantir Foundry tutorial to create it now).
  2. Click the green ➕ New ▾ button near the upper-right corner and choose Quiver Analysis from the application list.
  3. Quiver will open and you can now rename your analysis by clicking into the title near the top-left corner of the Quiver interface. For today, let's call it "Quiver training: Airport Analysis."
  4. Click on the Settings gear icon on the left side taskbar.
  5. Toggle Enable UTC time format on. This will standardize all time zones across your analysis.

Saving in Quiver

It's important to note that Quiver, unlike many other Foundry applications, does not automatically save your work. Periodically save your Quiver analysis by selecting Save at the top of your screen as you progress through the tutorial.

Enable "New Quiver" if applicable

Your Foundry environment may or may not have "New Quiver" enabled by default. This tutorial is for the "New Quiver" experience. If you see a "New Quiver" toggle near the top of your screen, ensure it is enabled as pictured below. If you do not see a "New Quiver" toggle, no action is necessary.
