Our objective in the exercises in this course is to determine if there are any discernible patterns as to what causes flight delays. We will build out delay cohorts using expressions, calculate thresholds limits and develop a shareable dashboard.

📖 Task Introduction
Imagine you're an airline analyst tasked with analyzing flight delay impact on customer experience and airline resource allocation. In this tutorial, you'll use Contour to investigate an open source flights dataset and derive helpful insights.
🔨 Task Instructions
Click on Projects and files in the Workspace sidebar.
In the Filter projects... search bar, search for and click on the Foundry Training and Resources project.
Click on the Example Data folder.
Select the Aviation Ontology folder, which contains the canonical dataset for flights data.
Now, right-click on flights, choose Actions, then click directly on Analyze in Contour.
Rename your new Contour analysis by clicking on its default title (New Analysis (…) at the top of your screen and typing {FIRSTNAME LASTNAME} Advanced Flight Analytics.
⚠️ Depending on your environment, you may be prompted with a sub window asking you to choose a folder to save your new analysis into; if you are, save your analysis in your /Tutorial Practice Artifacts/ folder or preferred save location*. *If you have not created one before, follow the steps from the Create a Sandbox Folder page in the Introduction to Palantir Foundry tutorial to create it now.
